22 years old, Chico State Senior. Political Science, blah. there is more to me than than what I study, or at least I’d like to think so. I love to answer questions, so if you have any, bring em out.

I enjoy the company of others, for living in solitary will make you lonely. It is the people that surround us that make out lives worth living. Having good friends in your life is priceless, not the silly mastercard commercial type, the real kind of feeling. Maybe it is the loyalty, or something about shared experiences among a group, but friends keep you balanced.
I have a job as the Photo Editor for the Chico State Orion weekly newspaper, it keeps me shooting, which in turn keeps me sane. I was turned onto photography by a few friends of mine, and I have really never put down a camera since. I t has become one of the defining things about me, and I love it.

Last summer I was an intern on Capitol Hill, Washington D.C., where I worked for The Heritage Foundation (the views expressed on this blog do not reflect those of the staff and/or overall views of the Heritage Foundation). I did Foreign Policy research, mostly on European Public Diplomacy issues, and some Middle East from time to time.

Living in this DC was amazing, getting to meet so many new people, and some politico celebs, like the president, has been fun. I have been maintaining my westcoastness at all times, like I should be. This city has taught me a lot about what I want, and more importantly, it has cleared up questions about what I don’t want. I really feel like my life is coming together, and I haven’t felt that good in a long time.

I love my family, Vegas, the Tribe, a great scotch whiskey, road trips, LA, SB, the City, traveling, new music, summers, Ireland, the Shawshank Redemption, the Alaskan flag, blonds, written Arabic, lazy sundays, football,  Miles Davis, peanut butter M&Ms, the 1881, Tapatio, Lucky Boy breakfast burritos, the 4th of July, surfing on the north shore, snowboarding- especially at Mammoth and Kirkwood, Catalina, Jazz in the Park (DC and NY), Canon and that little red stripe, THE SPOT,  Blue Moon beer, The Big Lebowski, ring-tones and caller ID, backpacking, Counting Crows, The Office black and white prints, perfect light, blonds , sleep, St. Patrick’s Day, live music; especially Explosions in the Sky, Lost, Audi and Maserati, Yosemite, Rose Bowl games, the 101, ocean breezes, spliffs, late nights, smiles, blonds, laughs, and sunshine. this not in order, that would be silly.

All Photographs are under Copyright, 2005-2008, and may not be used without written permission from the author/photographer, which is me and only me.  I am more than happy to share, but remember, this is my job, respect the fact that people need to get paid for photos.

  8. Hey David,

You’re a great photographer! I’m impressed with your pictures of Virginia Tech and I was wondering if I could include some of them in a post I’m writing for my blog?

I would credit them to you and include a link to your blog as well.

Let me know when you get a chance. Thanks!
